    As an adjunct to this discussion has anyone found a tight patterning gun/ammo/choke combination with 3" Mag#4 shot in a 20ga?

    I would prefer remington premier hevi shot magnum turkey loads..they # 5's or 6's. They are a buffered load..making your pattern tighter..as most turkey loads are.

    I'm sold on Remington® Hevi•Shot. My gun patterns Hevi•Shot® #6 extremely well. It offers a double advantage; very tight pattern plus increased energy of #5 lead shot.

    i know that last year i used 2 3/4 in #4 shot phesants forever loadsin a 20ga out of an extra full choke. they did a great job at 20yds.
