Digital for cold weather?
#1
Hey all thinking about buying a couple digital game cameras for next year.
Anybody have suggestions for colder weather (below freezing)?
Also what about battery life/options?
Input on any digital is welcomed??
My experience is only with 35mm ones. My camtrakkers had no problems functioning but I am not interested in developing rolls of film.
Thanks

No replies!! In my research I have found the newer generation that use smaller batteries are problematic in our climate below (-15 c). I am wondering about the wildview 2 & 3 because they can be hooked upto a 12v SLA in lieu of the c batteries. Any comments on this camera? I know its cheap but I have read some favorable reviews. It seems the LR, Cudde, Camtrakker, etc all have issues so wondering if more is indeed better!!
Thanks
Thanks

Skeeter7MM I think everyone would probably like to know the answer to your questions. I've found this forum isn't all that great for informational purposes as the others on Hunting net can be. Everyone always says go to www.chasingame.com

my moultrie works fine in our temps but that isnt near as cold as yours, the battery life is excellent in cold weather, and i have found out that my gamespy 200 3.1mp trigger time is improved in colder weather but the coldest it has gotten so far is just in the single digits F

Thanks retrieverman for the additional info, appreciate it!!! The 4.1 (older one)is the model for which I have heard nothing but good things about(including cold weather). I'll keep an eye on ebay.
