Opinion Poll: Should Floxter give me his new bow?
I shot with Floxter on Tuesday, and he had his new Chek-mate recurve with him. Two reasons he should give it to me: Quoth Floxter "I am a confirmed longbow shooter now" and 2nd, he was trying to find an arrow spine that would shoot out of his recurve......but he was shooting the arrows out of his longbow. He thought he was shooting the recurve. See, the man already has too many bows, he doesn't even know what bow he is shooting.
Chessbum was right....floxter is a bad traditional influence.
J/K Jack...you are an O.K. guy. You would be a better guy if you would send me that recurve, though

Hey Toxo:
To quote Kris Kristofferson "Nothin' ain't worth nothin' if it's free". You'd never feel good about it. Specially now that you dropped the hint. Get one of those college loan/grant things, tell 'em you need a new freezer. Part of the expense for the freezer is the tools required to fill it - your new bow! This will give you much more satisfaction in the long run. Forty years from now when you pay it off, your bow will still shoot great, and you can tell stories to your nephews and nieces.

You know, you do have a point there. I am starting college next year, and i am getting some of them loans anyway. My friend has the freezer, but I will have to fill it, of course. Flox said he was gonna hang the bow on the wall, and we can't have that happen.

Toxo- a word of advice on the college thing, forget about hunting and study! When I was in college I studied Hunting, Girls and Puking for distance, now all I do is work and DREAM about Hunting! the other two do not bother me that bad anymore. What I am trying to say is work hard while you are there and then when you get out you can get a great job, great pay, plenty of time off to spend the money on hunting and bows then.

Tox & I compared our bows. Mine is 58" 51#@28 and his is 60" 54#@28. Both have Shedua risers, mine with Zebra limbs, his with Elm limbs. I told him, since he shoots his so well, having a shorter & lighter bow that looks the same would just screw up his shooting.

No, his longbow was a lengthy 62" . I was afraid to heave it back to my draw in fear of snappin it.
Hey Floxter, maybe you are right, if I had that bow I might become as confused as you are!
As far as college, I am gonna have to try hard. I have always gotten good grades, but that is at an all boy school. Toss a load full of drunk girls in and my grades may suffer. I am thinking of being a teacher. You get the wrong times off. I guess I will have to learn to like going to hunt Africa.

Tox,
I hope you marry someone rich or have a big inheritance. You're not going on many African Safaris on teacher's pay!
What subject(s) and grade level(s) are interested in teaching?

I plan on teaching the rowing team, so they can paddle me over to Africa for practice, cause I won't have any money.
I plan on teaching high school english. Everybody (especially girls) I know already hates me cause I correct their bad english, why not get paid to do it.
