Feedback on Great Plains Bows
#2
None with the Great Plains name on 'em, but I have shot a 3-Rivers Tomakawk SS which is made by them I believe. One of the smoothest shooting longbows I ever shot!
My new CheckMate Thunderbird is close to it in smoothness and lack of hand shock though. I wouldn't know I wasn't a smooth shooting recurve if I couldn't see the limbs

I had a Wolf Creek 1-pc recurve and I have a Plainsman T/D longbow from Great Plains. The recurve was a real nice shooter, not a speed-demon but it hit where I was looking and was very smooth thru the draw. The longbow is also a good shooting bow.Great grip, spits an arrow out pretty good and also hits where you're looking. Both were very well-made and nice to look at,too.I sold the curve because I picked up some other bows and just didn't shoot it.The longbow I have on consignment with a dealer friend(I mostly shoot recurves now).
