I ran acrossed 4 Ben Pearson Recurves. 3 are colt 7070 62" long. One is a Javelina 7060 66" long. They look old. I don not know much about recurves and was wondering what they are worth and if they would be good bows to hunt with.

Pearson Golden Sovereigns are the most valuable of the Pearson line with some being more valuable than others. In my opinion, Pearsons are the real bargain in the used bow market. They don' t have a high dollar value - even the Golden Sovereigns and Mercury Hunters rarely sell for more than 250.00 to 300.00. And Javelinas and Colts go, as mentioned already, for around 40 to 80 dollars. They' re good shooters and worth more in the hand than they are on the auction block. Good for Pearson buyers but not so good for Pearson sellers - at least not yet. Part of the reason for the low price is how common they are and that' s a tribute to their durability and popularity back in the 60' s and 70' s.
