I shoot bow and feel that each is independant of the other, so there is no conflict for me.

Some people feel differently so it seems like it is more of an individual thing. See if one or the other suffers & react accordingly.

What I usually tell people is to try trad for a while and see what you think. Keep in mind, that you'll only need about a month or so before the season if you decide you want to use the compound for hunting. You may even find that you become a better shot with the compound from shooting traditional.

It will help improve it. You dont get away with near as much with a trad bow.

Shooting a compound with sights and mechanical release is about as different from traditional archery as peas and apples. Completely different mindset, totally different mechanics.

I do think shooting traditional will help you shoot better with the wheelbow though. When you get used to anchoring with the full draw weight of a traditional bow, it makes it easy to hold that 80% let-off bow steady at full draw.

My opinions on this subject differ from everyone else on here which is fine. My dad still catches himself using the same anchor point from his compound when shooting his longbow every once in a while. He hasn't shot a compound in 30 years. Being most shoot releases now it won't screw with you as much on anchor points. If your shooting fingers on both there is a chance it could mess with you from time to time. People ask me about this and I tell them I wouldn't do it. If you really are committed to shooting these Traditional bows stick with it and only it specially if your shooting fingers. JMHO.

What do you recommend for your fingers a tab or a glove?

Unfortunately, Geronimo, that's like asking us whether you should choose boxers or briefs. Some folks shoot better with glove, some do better with a tab. Some switch back and forth between the two. Only way for you to find out what does best for you is to try both.

If you go for a tab, keep in mind that all tabs are cut oversize for you to customize the fit. The tab should not extend past the tips of the fingers, though most experienced tab shooters prefer them even shorter. Many trim the tab back to where it covers only the bottom third of the fingertip pads for using a deep hook release. Myself, I prefer something in the middle, leaving between 1/8" to 1/4" of fingertips exposed over the edge of the tab.

So, tab length is yet another area for exploration of personal preference.

Art, when trimming the tab, you measure it while it is on as it sits on the string correct. If the tab extents beyond my fingers as the string is being held, I usually trim it so it does not extent beyond my fingers. I actually like it a little shorter then that actually. That wayI can get a good skin on skin anchor (one of the benefits of using a tab).

But if you look at the tab while it is on with the fingers extented, it is a whole different thing.
