I shoot bow and feel that each is independant of the other, so there is no conflict for me.

Shooting a compound with sights and mechanical release is about as different from traditional archery as peas and apples. Completely different mindset, totally different mechanics.
I do think shooting traditional will help you shoot better with the wheelbow though. When you get used to anchoring with the full draw weight of a traditional bow, it makes it easy to hold that 80% let-off bow steady at full draw.
