Actionwood is laminated wood. You have seen it on rifle and shotgun stocks. Doesn' t have the cracking problems solid wood has. I like it too.

Well, the wood in the riser hardly contributes to performance so it' s mostly a matter of looks. I like the walnut in my ChekMate Attila handle fine, but I doubt it makes much difference in the way the bow shoots.
As far as the limbs are concerned, that' s mostly a matter of how the fiberglass cooperates with the laminates. I' ve never discerned a great deal of difference that couldn' t be attributed to limb length or design.
So I guess if you like action wood or whatever, it' s a taste thing more than anything else.
