Yes, bought one this year and find that it works fine! Just on item that I will need to mod, the climbing unit needs some real work. This system is much improved over the Ambus Hunting Sling that was made years passed. If you want to read about how well the system works read " Bowhunting Pressured Whitetails" by John Eberhhat & Chris Eberhart. They use only this type of system. Oh! it took some real time to get using this system down, but it really works!

Yes, I would forget the climber, it needs to have better ability to stay where one wants it to be when climbing. This does limit your abilty to move around but it just does not seem to be that fast a climber. I found it hard to make climbing advance up due to the climber not being secured when climbing, it seems to move around more than it should. Yes steps or ladder works.
