I am a fur man myself with only one set of whiskers and have never had a problem with the fur other then a occasional burr in them when hunting out of state. My bow isnt loud at all, just a thunk, definatly not the quietest bow I have but by no means the loudest one I have either.
My bh is 7 1/8"es on my older crusader and just a smidge over 7 on my new one.
btw I am also using a dyna 97 string.

I added another set of whiskers like you guys have and it is quieter than it was. I think I can live with it now. I shoot in my basement and it is fairly quiet in there so it should be much quieter when shot outdoors. Noise sems to bounce off the walls in the house and sound worse than it is. I will find out soon.
Thanks for your help,

I just have one set of rubber wiskers on my crusader and it shoots very quiet. I shoot 570gr 2018 arrows and a calfhair tab. I find that my release is the biggest factor in how load my shots are, a poor release is a bit louder than a good release, a good release is as near to silent as any other bow I have ever shot.
