Default Refletching wooden arrows

I need to refletch some cedar arrows but am unsure of the best way to strip the old feathers from the arrow without damaging the wooden shaft. What is the best method?

Default RE: Refletching wooden arrows

I don't know if it's the best way or not, but I just used a razor knife and carefully cut along the quill and then sanded it smooth. Here's the original banana fletch and the smaller shield refletch.

Make em sharp and shoot em straight, or leave em home.
