What Arrow material/Fletching combination are you guys using?
Aluminum, Carbon, wood arrows and with vanes or feathers.
When I think trad, I think trad all the way, even wood arrows and feathers, but maybe that's just me. Eventually I'd like to build my own longbow and cedar arrows.

I like carbon with feathers.Feathers are more forgiving than plastic fletching,I think.I still make wooden arrows to use on grouse at close range and use feathers on them also.

I've hunted with wood arrows for years but have been shooting GoldTip XT's for the last 3yrs. with feathers with no complaints.Lately wood has bevome very expensive and the quality just isn't there anymore.I used to buy arrows bulk and out of a 100 cedars, spined 60-65,I'd be lucky to get 40% that fell in that range.I'll spend my $$ on carbons.
