Hi
I had a hectic week with the birth of my firstborn (son) on the 5th of October. (What does “sleep” mean again?
) Anyway, one of my wife’s friends curiously requested some info about different types of trees that would be suitable for bow wood. Se pitched yesterday with a young maple tree from some nursery, with the idea that I would someday build a bow from this tree for him.
Its way to small at the moment, but looks like it would someday be decent enough to use. Anyone been nursing a tree into a bow? Any advice?

About the only advice I can give is to plant it somewhere protected from the wind. It'll grow straighter and without any twist.
Sleep? It's been almost 17 years since I've done THAT. Maybe in a couple more years, whenmy boy isout on his own I'll be able to sleep again. Kind ofgotten out of the habit now though.
I won't congratulate you, but will congratulate your wife. SHE'S the one that did all the work.
[8D]Hope mom and son are both doing well! And you also. Try and slip in a cat nap once in awhile.
