"New" Bow Coming
I was messing around on Ebay yesterday and found an old Pearson Cougar on there. I tossed in a bid (that I fully expected to get beaten) and forgot about it. Checked my email later and found out I won the thing.[:-] First time I ever bid on a bow and actually got it.[&:]
62" bow, 40# @ 28", should make it pull around 47-50 pounds at my draw. According to the old catalogs, I gave about $17 more than it cost new. I think that beats the inflation rate by a fair margin. LOL

Congrats Art--those are (in my opinion) one of the most underrated bows ever built. I reckon it was because they were mass produced and cheap. A good friend of mine killed a world of critters and won a boatload of trophys with his before it finally delaminated on him.

RE: "New" Bow Coming
Finally got the bow. A few marks and scratches, all the hallmarks of a late 60's recurve that was used hard, but not abused. Bottom limb had a slight twist that I bumped out pretty easy. Probably been standing up in the corner of someone's closet for a long time.
I scraped off the remains of the old rug rest that was on it, whipped up a new string, slid on the old Kwikee Kwiver disc string silencers that came on the old string (looked like the original string!), glued down a suede leather shelf and side plate and flung a few arrows through it in the back yard. Draws nice and shoots good.
I'll put up a few pics in the morning.

Slugman, you have to set up an account with a host, post the picture there and then paste it on the forum. You can set up a free account at http://photobucket.com
