RE: "New" Bow Coming
Finally got the bow. A few marks and scratches, all the hallmarks of a late 60's recurve that was used hard, but not abused. Bottom limb had a slight twist that I bumped out pretty easy. Probably been standing up in the corner of someone's closet for a long time.
I scraped off the remains of the old rug rest that was on it, whipped up a new string, slid on the old Kwikee Kwiver disc string silencers that came on the old string (looked like the original string!), glued down a suede leather shelf and side plate and flung a few arrows through it in the back yard. Draws nice and shoots good.
