Hey Muzzy, I got hold of the 'Hicks' Cable slide and tried it on my Allegiance--like you suggested.
My first observation was the cables crossed much closer--just about 'a hair' between them--but not touching each other. The vanes (Blazer & Quik Spin) cleared the cables when the arrow is nocked--then I proceeded to shoot the bow.
Tell ya what--the arrow flies even better, definitely an improvement over the original slide the bow came with. IMHO.
I got my slide from Extreme Archery Products, got it UPS here--if you get hold of one try it and tell me what you think.
I'm going to test it on my buddy's Old Glory on Tuesday.

Let me know how that works on your buddies Old Glory. I have a Hicks slide here, and I was thinking of putting it on my Old Glory but I just wasn't sure. Nothing wrong with the stock one, I just yhink the pure teflon slides move a little smoother.
