Sylvan,
From your technical expertise you displayed on this thread http://forum.hunting.net/asppg/tm.as...36&mpage=1&key one would think you'd know what a portable press is.
And from this quote within that thread it would seem that you own your own shop?

Blodg,
I believe temperature has more of an impact than a lot of people think as well. I use my chrony in doors with a light source and generally I get within 1 ft/sec on the same bow/arrow combo on different days. However, a friend brought a bow in one day for me to measure it (it had been overnight in his truck at 25 degrees) and after measuring a few times we noticed that the fisrt few were 2 to 3 feet/sec faster. This certainly wasn't a controlled test and I haven't tried to duplicate it but you might want to keep this in mind.

The one I shot was a little long for me
Haven't made up my mind for sure yet but I'm leaning towards buying it
So what DL did you get 269 fps at 63 lbs and 366 grains? Glad you liked it and yes they are very accurate and forgiving bows. Some people forget that because they get all caught up in the speed but these bows are sweet shooters.

Hello Blodg,
Thanks for the response, I remember talking to you on another thread and in fact you were one of the people I was thinking about when I made this post. You're right about the "it" and I absolutely didn't mean that very bow just that I'm pretty sure I want an OG. As far as draw length, the one I shot was 28" but like I said it felt a little long. I was using my own release so based on that I think I would order a 27 1/2. You're right about the speed too. I know I talked alot about speed in the other threads but when it comes down to it its not a driving reason for me to buy. I just like the way it felt and grouped. Seemed pretty quiet too.
Take care...

Sorry but I don't know much about presses, the only one I've ever used is the one I built for myself probably about 20-25 years ago. I don't own my own bow shop either. I'm a retired engineer who likes to measure and tinker with archery equipment and have been doing so for many years.
Do you have a point or a question?
