Default Shot the Allegiance-Shot the Old Glory

I went to Macrotech Sunday and shot the allegiance and old glory.WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Old Glory was sweet but the Allegiance was incredible to say the least.I shot the bow without a sling and an open hand and after the shot the bow was just sitting in my handI put the Old Glory on the Christmas club, but if Len was to get a 30 inch Allegiance so i could shoot that i might be changin my mind!!! the other Allegiance was 28.5 inch i believe.

As soon as I get cams in that will take an Allegiance to 30", I'll put them on the 'demo' bow for you to shoot. To make it 'apples to apples', I'll also have to move the Old Glory up to 30". Remember, it's the overall comfort and confidence that has a big affect on how well you will shoot any bow.

trestand is waiting for the longer cams to arrive as well. Maybe we could have a 'shooting party' when trestand's shoulder heals. Hope you're feeling well, Bob.

Sounds like you liked both bows but were leaning more towards the Allegiance. What was the deciding factor? The axle to axle length or balance of the bow?

Thanks for the invite to the "shooting party",Len,I'll be glad to attend.
I had the surgery on Friday,2-4-05 at 9:30 am.It was a little more involved than what the MRI's showed.Besides having a large bone cut down, there was also two bone spurs, debris, and a lot of fluid in the shoulder that had to be removed. If that was'nt enough(I never do anything half way),there was a large rotator cuff tear that was repaired.
Right now,it hurts like crazy, but I know it will get better each day.
Thanks for your thoughts and the "invite"...Bob

PABowhntr I really liked the balance of the bow and after the shot(what's not to like)I was at Len's today to pay some more on my bow and he's gonna get both set to my draw and let me decide once and for all.

To explain this statement, I did a demonstration for Newman/Dave today. I took the right-handed Old Glory and shot it left-handed. I wanted to show Dave how well the bow was balanced in all aspects. With the Binary Cam System, I don't have to compensate as I do on all other bows I've shot both ways.

Dave thought it was
"...cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and I promised to show him how to do it. You see, he's actually left-eye dominant. When I get my left-handed OG, we'll see how he does.
