Default Goldtip Arrow ?

I was thinking of trying the goldtip arrows out and it seems like alot of poeple really like them. I shoot carbon express 3d selects now, I like them alot, but am just in the mood to try something different. Can someone tell me what size I would need. I will be shooting a hoyt cam 1/2, 29 inch draw with string loop, 65-67 pounds, and 100 grain heads. I will use them for hunting. Can you use the easton nocks on these or do you have to use a goldtip nock? My 3d selects finished weigh 396 grains, and I would like to stay in that range or right around 400 grains. I try to stay around 6 grains per pound. I would like to use the black shafts and was wondering what style to use to get me what I am after? I remember reading when these arrows first came out, that they had an abrasion problem and were hard on rest silencers due to a rough surface. Is this still an issue? Give me some feedback on these arrows, and let me know if they are worth trying, or if I should just stick with what I have. Thanks.

Give them a try! I think there the tuffest arrow out there. It sounds like we have just about the same setup. You will need 5575 shafts. I dont have any trouble with them being ruff on my rests. Use the easton nocks because the goldtip nocks are junk in my opinion. Hope this helps.

Guess we're all the same, even though it's good to stick with what works and change the things that doesn't, we're always chasing after a change, hopefully for the better.
The Gold tip I would get myself for a set up like yours (for hunting) would be the 'XT'--5575. At 29" W 100 G-heads, you should be in the 410 grain area. Not far off of the 396 you're currently shooting.

Thanks for the replies. Do you know how many gpi the xt-5575 weight? I think my 3d selects are 8 gpi. I know it seems that you hear more positive replies on the goldtips than just about any other carbon arrow out there. Keep the replies coming and thanks to all.
