Default Goldtip Arrow components questions??

Anyone know for sure how much Gold Tip GT series nocks weigh? How about the old Gold Tip Lock nocks? They are listed differently in various catalogs and I haven't invested in a scale yet!! Also, what is everyones advice for fletching my GoldTip 5575 XT arrows...I want to lighten up the back end...I currently have 3 - 3 7/8 in. easton vanes that weigh a total of 24 grains! I would like to reduce that weight as much as possible w/o switching to feathers. I shoot 100 grain heads now and whisker biscuit as a rest??? What do you think? I'm looking at the Bohning Blazers (5 grains ea.) but not sure if they will be enough to handle the 100 grain heads!! Any thoughts are appreciated!!

They say 13 grains for the new nocks. The actual nock is very small almost like a G-nock, and then it has that long shank, so I suppose it's possible

The Lock Nocks were either 15 or 17 grains can't recall..hated the things [:@]..I still have a bunch somehwere, but I never use/d them.

Hmm..The blazers have mixed reviews. I have no experience with them myself, but you could try the AAE Speed Flite vanes. They are lighter than standard AAEs (which are the same thing as Easton Diamond vanes)..should weigh about 18 grains for three 4" fletches.

You may also want to look into the new 4" low profile vanes from Flex Fletch..they are VERY low profile, but with a good helical and one of the smaller heads on the market today (or mechs) they should suffice.

I can't stand the lock nocks either and that's why I'm switching to the GT's!! I have been leaning towards the flex fletch vanes also...I've heard they are very durable which is important to me...I also like the low profile characteristic as well!! Thanks for the thoughts!!

The lock nocks weigh 17 grains and the GTs weigh 14 grains. Dont have any Blazer vanes or i would weigh them but the Quick Spins weigh 12.5 grains each. These numbers were rounded up. Hope this helps and good luck.
