Peep Question for you.....

Peep Question for you.....
Well, like I said last week, I was having a bit of trouble with my no-peep (the string was getting in the way of my eye and sight, leaving me with an out of focus target). I tried to put a large peep back on the bow so I could look directly through the string. Man, it's been a while since I shot with a peep. I couldn't handle it anymore. I had to take it back off since I don't have time to get used to it again before hunting season.
Here is a question and problem for those of you who swear by the peep. I had the peep lined up perectly for the 20 yard shot. No-problems. But when I went to take a 50 yard shot, my pin was not showing through the peep.
Now, I would either have to adjust my anchor to get the pin in the peep, lift my bow arm, or just use the 20 yard pin and try to guess on the amount of drop. Please don't tell me to bend at the waist because that will do absolutely nothing to bring the pin through the peep. This problem is non-existant with using the no-peep.

I think about the only thing that would fix that would be a bigger peep, or moving your sight further from the peep.
I use the Redhawk with a Trophy Ridge sight and my entire sight ring fits within the peep ring.

RE: Peep Question for you.....
No i always keep the ring of the sight centered within the ring of the peep. Once those rings are centered you then bend at the waist to move the pins up for longer distance. by bending at the waist you maintain the proper alignment and the sight remains centered in the peep.
I know you said not to bend at the waist but....

Center that peep with the housing of your sight. It will make you more consistant than trying to center a little dot in the middle of circle. First thing I always do when setting up a bow is get my draw length just right, then get my anchor perfectly comfortable. Then everything else just falls into place.
If you can, try moving your sight out more to get the housing inside the peep. I use a Fletcher super hunter at 3/16" and an Extreme Sniper sight and they line up perfectly. I used to use a Copper John, but the housing was too big for me and I couldn't get everything inside the peep.
