Default Mathews or Hoyt

I'm trying to decide between a Mathews Q2XL and Hoyt Ultratec XT2000. I'm new to archery and want to get a good hunting and 3D bow that is somewhat forgiving. I've done a lot of research, talked to a lot of people, and shot several bows. I've narrowed the choice down to these two and would like some opinions. What do you like / dislike about either one? Thanks for your input.

Both are great bows, get the one that feels better to you. I think you will be more than happy with either.

Jason,

I think you are confusing the Ultratec with the Havoctec. The Ultratec is 38 inches from axle to axle with the XT2000 limbs.

I ask that same qeustion to hoyt and Matthews pro shooters.I had my mind on those two bows also.I shot both, feel and shoot great.I found out I couldnt go wrong with either.I bought Matthews q2xl only because I found a great deal 2001-350.00.I have only had it 2wks. shoots great.Good groups, smooth and shoots fast enough for 3d.Email me if you need any more info.Be glad to answer.Pros I talked to were George Dixon-Matthews Nathan Brooks-hoyt Bobby Ketcher-hoyt.

I would tend to agree with the others. You can't go wrong with either bow, so it doesn't really matter what you choose as long as you enjoy shooting it.

Which cams were you looking to get on the Ultratec?

Ive read that you are new to bowhunting and wonder are you trying looking at other bow companies or are you just looking at these two cause of there popularity? If so make sure you shoot other bows to make sure you have something that fits and is right for you.
