Too true Poluke. And for the record I do shoot a WB. I have used several style rests and I really prefer the WB over the others. No moving parts, no cables, no springs, it's just so simple. I guess maybe that is why so many people feel it just isn't good enough for them. I have zero trouble with the WB. I don't have any problem with it "eating fletchings". I use one on my bow during archery league. I shoot about 200 arrows each week for 12 weeks straight and don't have to worry about refletching, and I use the same dozen arrows. I would talk about the "no peep" that I use on my bow but it would just invite a whole new bunch of sillyness in a thread doesn't need any more.

I've used one now four a few years. Never had any problems with my fletchings. Does'nt throw my arrow out -of- wac or seem to slow it down.
I chronographed my arrows just to see how fast that they were going, and they were still traveling about 245 FPS.

Thats with.

Nitro arrows
Rocky Mountain Titanium 125 gr. broudheads.
Pulling 70 pounds off of my Mathews Lx.
With the WB Delux arrow rest.

Now granted I dont shoot 3-D. But I do alot of tree-stand hunting . And I dont worry about my arrow falling off of my rest.

It happens to everyone. No matter how much of a PRO YOU ARE!!!!!!

To me best thing since a maid.

ORIGINAL: CBM SC

Yes I have tried several ! Currently I have a Deluxe Quick Shot with the B2 bristles ! Set up was very easy .....as has been with my others ! I shot feathers for the last few years but switched to vanes this year ! I have not had any ill effects with my fletchings ! But I fletch my own.....I do know someone that had trouble with some fletched at a shop ! Right now I'm using Bohning vanes on Easton Axis arrows with a mild helical ....probably 3-4 degrees ! They have shown no wear and the only negative I can think of .....is they get small dark streaks from the bristles on them ! Paper tuning is good......group tuning is good......broadhead flight is right on with my field points !

Might be my problem with the QS... I don't fletch my own, just haven't really had the "true" motive to, I guess. I know it was eating the feathers off of my carbons, though. Bad for me, good for the pro shop.
I switched to a Ultra-Rest lately and am in love ...so far... kinda like my last marriage. Maybe I'll give it another try on a new bow I'm getting (CSS Challenger) after fletching practice.

I have the older biscuit with the all black bristles. Does anyone know if the newer bristles are any quiter or are they just less forgiving?

mammasboy,
The new B-2 biscuit has softer brown .007" diameter bristles for the fletching to go through, and more supple .010" diameter black bristles to support the weight of the arrow just like the older biscuits. The whisker biscuit performs best when you shoot the correct spine arrows for the bow, shoot a tuned bow with the rest properly adjusted, and use good shooting form. "Forgiveness" will always be the result of having done everything right. No rest is going to cure an untuned bow or poor shooting form. Good luck hunting!

I've owned both and the new biscuit is noticably more quiet. In addition, the new one hardly affects speed at all. I use to trim my old biscuits, but doubt I'll bother with the new one.
