I was out in the yard tonight shooting my lx, and to say I am ticked is an understatement. I had this bow shooting good through paper, and like I always do, I like to shoot one through from time to time just for confidence. Needless to say my confidence is shot to h#ll. I am now getting a high right tear and nothing I do will change it. Moving the rest, adjusting the nocking point, nothing works. I don' t get it. I am shooting 68 pounds, 29 inch draw, loop, release, 30 inch beman ics hunter 340 shafts, 30 inches long, fletched with 3, 4 inch feathers at a slight helical, and 100 grain tips. I went back through my whole set up and checked things out. My tiller is dead even, rest is adjusted to centershot where I started, my cam is set at optimal timing with the two holes in the bottom cam running parallel to the string(it may be off just a fraction). I am shooting a winners choice string and cables so I don' t think it has anything to do with that. Like I said I am lost. I went in and got out my reliable q2xl, and shot through paper and guess what, five shots five bullet holes. Now I feel a little bit better, but this is suppose to now be my back-up bow. I was shooting carbon express 3d selects, set up the same way as the bemans except they are fletched with 3, 4 inch duravanes. My q2xl is set on 65 pounds. So now I get this bright idea of backing the lx poundage down to 65 pounds, and shooting the 3d select that gave me the bullet holes on the q2xl through the paper, Now guess what, I got the same tear as the bemans. How can I get bullet holes with one bow, set the other one up the same way and still get this? I am going to see that high, right tear in my sleep tonight. If anybody has any ideas that will help me, then I promise you that this is one upset bowhunter that would be grateful for your help. HHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLP. Thanks to you all, Bhunter32.

BH,I' m just going to take a shot in the dark with this.I have a LX,30in.,65lbs,Beman Carbon-Hunters 380-16' s,with a MZE.Now I cut the 380' s @ 28.5in. because of the " flexing" you can get with arrows over 29in,that could be one option you could try.My LX,for some reason, did' nt like the 3-D Selects 300' s that I shot with my Q2 last year, could' nt get a good bullet hole, but the Beman' s shoot very good ones.Maybe it has something to do with the new H-P cam.By the way,on both arrows,I use the 3in.Duravanes,R-H helical,85gr.Shockwaves.The Bemans weight in at 413grs.,the 3-D Selects at 368grs.Since you did' nt mention what kind of rest you are using,I' m not saying to go cut your arrows, but my MZE lets me shoot the 28.5' s with a 30in. draw.Like I said ,this is a shot in the dark, but I hope it helps...Bob

If it happened overnight......it sounds like your nock point moved ! If all your spec' s are right ....then I doubt it' s the bow. If you can I would put everything back like it was and try it again....now that you' ve had a break. I know it' s no consolation and you don' t want to hear it........but this LX is the easiest bow I have ever paper tuned. I feel like it is hard to not get a bullet hole......so unless you got a lemon .....I just don' t see how it can be the bow. I don' t remember what kind of rest you shoot , but I got a tear similar to that one time with too much spring tension !
It' s just hard to fix that kind of stuff when you get frustrated....it usually doesn' t work.......but I try not to make to many adjustments until I calm down !

If the problem isn' t simply YOU having a bad day shooting, then I' d definitely be looking for string creep. That was always the problem I had whenever there were sudden, severe, mysterious and seemingly incurable changes on any of the single cam bows I had. It' s also why I don' t own a single cam bow any more. Check your axle to axle length, brace height and cam timing.

I am shooting a mathews 0 overdraw shoot through prong style rest. Sorry I forgot that in my original post. I have checked everything and will do battle again with it tonight. This is the first time I have had this much trouble with a bow. I had my q2xl shooting bullet holes in two shots when I first tuned it, and it has been that way since. Thanks for the replies, and if you have any more ideas, let me know. I will let you know how it goes tonight. Thanks everyone, BHunter32.
