Default Frustrated

Ok i paper tuned yesterday, bullet holes at about 10ft. so i thought "great". Then i was shooting at the target from about 15yds. and noticed my arrow was kicking out(fletching left and point to the right) at about half way to the target. So i tried to paper tune from 10yds. and 15yds., i kept getting a low left tear, so i raised the nock, helped a little, then tried moving the rest right and left and nothing helped. I got a 31" draw, pulling 65lbs., shooting Blackhawk Vapors 4000 cut at 31.5" with a 100 tip. I looked at the easton site and throught the threads here and still cant figure out what is wrong. Am i underspined, will changing to 125 grains help me, thanks guys.

jt, how do you know your arrow was kicking at 15 yards. I am just assuming here, but make sure you are releasing as smoothly as possible, don't peek at the arrow in flight, and make you you do not torque. Personally, when I paper tune, I will usually only go out to about six feet. All you are really trying to see is if the arrow is coming off the bow straght. There are many that don't believein it at all. Without seeing you shoot, I would say one of the biggest problems in paper tuning is actually the shooters consistancy.

bobco, i could be that, i was just wondering if it was something else than human error. Maybe i'm getting away from just shooting good and trying to watch the arrow like you said. Thanks

Well it could be, but like I said, it is hard to determine without seeing you shoot. You also mentioned moving the rest and nothing helped. Things such as cam timing, clearence problems, rest tension could also be contributing to it. I am not familiar with your arrows, so I won't comment on them being right for your setup. I am assuming they are.

I don't know much about those arrows.........but "if" you were underspined........a 125 grain tip would make it worse ! You would want to go the other way........like a 75 grain tip !!

Good luck !
