No more flyers!
Between yesterday and today. I removed some of that lower cam lean. Then removed my loop. I installed 2 brass nocks with a gap between and reinstalled my loop to the outside of the nocks. Obviously, no more pinch or string walking. I removed the old cable slide from my mze I borrowed from my Mathews, had to drill the old one off. Installed a new slide. Removed my old stableizer and reinstalled an old New Balance one from storage. I placed more weight to the rear of the risor. I also replaced the stars for in-string cat whiskers. Took her out and grouped tuned today.
SWEET!
After finalizing all the changes I touched upon last night, I' ve hit a 2" group with 6 arrows today @ 30yrds. [:-] Was probably luck because I couldn' t duplicate it. The wind did start to pick up a tad tho.
I' m off to the store for some limb savers, and some more Bond-Tite. I' ll stop by the club and shoot the cronograph and some 20 yard spots on my way home. [8D]
Thanks to all of you for your advice and support.
And a special thanks to the folks at Muzzy for standing behind a very well used rest.[:-] Thank you Eric for your advice and tecnical support.

Glad you got it all fixed up and shooting great
A little tip on the cats whiskers cut them to about the size of 1/2 dollars and slide them all the way up to the serving, you will gain a few fps

Ausie: 1/2 dollar total? So far I' ve lost 6 fps. for the extra brass nock and the whiskers. But my whiskers are about 1.5" from the serving. Went fro 298 down to 292. I' ve noticed a slight clicking sound as my set screw seats in the mze. It looks well centered. Any ideas?
I bought some new goodies for the bow.
A new Copper Johns Dead Nuts, limb savers, and a pack of those mini limb savers. Just need to find something to stick them on.
Of course I couldn' t leave well enough alone. Had to play around with my tune. Still looking to repeat that 30yrd. 2" .

This pic might give you a better idea
When I slid them from the usual place to the serving I gained 3fps.
If you put the limb savers on slide the BT ones down the limb so they are snug against the riser.
Try backing the set screw out about 1/2 a turn mine clicked as well but when I backed it out the clicking went away

Aside from needing a bow press to move mine, does it make a difference if mine are installed thru the middle of the two shades of string? Do you have a third speed nock thats hidden from view? I have 3 on both ends of mine. The manual says they install 2 per side. Until I lost those high dollar stars, I had 2 above and 1 below each star. Also, if I back out the set screw, I' ll change my nock point.

Mine has 3 speed nocks on each end of the string.
I usually dont go to the trouble of seperating the string to install cats whiskers but being between the 2 colors should not have any adverse effect just makes it hard to slide them.
Just backing out the screw 1/2 a turn should not make that big a change in the nocking point.
On a friends Pat Last week when I was shooting with him every time he drew the bow there was a clicking sound.
Took me 10 minutes to figure out where it was coming from the grub screw on the cable guard rod had come loose I just tightened it back down and the clicking went away.
Check to make sure that the grub screw is snug.
You know the one that is under the other one

Hey Nub,If you like cat whiskers, that`s cool, but if you want to go with the Limb Savers string leeches, try this......Install ONE string leech at the top of the string only. This will quiet the string and you will loose nothing in arrow speed. If you install two (top and bottom) you will loose appox.3-5 fps and gain nothing in the quietness of the bow. It`s also a good idea to put a piece of electrical tape on the leech to keep the string from cutting thought it.This set-up has worked perfectly on my LX,Q2,Parker Hunter-Mag,and a 2003 SC Patriot.Good Luck!
