Hoyt Katera or Matthews DTX
I've shot Hoyt's for as long as i've been bowhuntin about 20+ yrs. But i've been doing alot of reading on newer, faster bows and looking to upgrade with the most realiable and fastest bow i can get. Living in Wyoming some shots can be over 60 yards and the faster with less drop the easier it makes it when it comes to last minute decitions. Does any one have pros and/or cons on either Kateraand DTX?

Like yourself,I too have been a Hoyt shooter for a long time. Last year I was looking for a new bow. Iwas deciding betweenthe Katera or theVectrix. Both in the longer axle to axle models. I went home with a Mathews S2. Like when most people ask what bow to buy? The correct answer is, what fits you! What feels comfortable to you! I shot all three bows that day with nothing more than a rest on all three. I could not believe the groups I shot with the Mathews. No peep or sights. It is obvious that bow fit me. You have to shoot them to properly compare them.[/align]

I have also been a Hoyt shooter for the past several seasons but last year..... it was the Mathews DXT that I went home with. It honestly is the better feeling rig in my hands. Smooth, quiet, fast, just a dream bowhunting rig.... I love it so much that I will also be carrying into the woods this season as well. That statement should speak volumes about the quality of the DXT shooting experience because this will be the ONLY season where I've actually carried the same bow for a 2nd season!
Good luck and good shootin'
