Not exactly.I can continue hunting without a cord on my whammy because I use feathers.

Plus,on the whammy,I have a mark where it is tied in.I use a string splitter,slip in a new cord( I could probably slip a new cord through where the old one is without reserving.) and timing on the whammy is just a matter of setting the stop with an allen wrench and locking the set screw down.You obviously have never setup a whammy.

Plus,I wasn't referring to breaking the cord,I doubt that would happen in the field but moving the cord(causing it to slip will greatly affect accuracy)My whammy is in the up position and I have much confidence with feathers of being able to take a deer out to 30 yards if it has slipped.



I love the Limb Driver so please don't misunderstand.We all have likes and dislikes,some of those dislikes are due to past experiences and in my experience,the cord makes me a little nervous.BUT,I would not be afraid to use one,I would just take some precautions that I don't particularly worry about right now.

TFOX if it came right down to it I could cut the cord on my Limb Driver and shoot it in the up position also since I shoot feathers

I find that 99% of guys worried about that long cord have not used a Limb Driver. I have hunted with one the last 2 years and have never caught it on anything. It really tucks pretty much inline with the cables and strings and is just as strong. So I Never really understood anyone having that concern, but............................................... ..........

This is why I said our past experiences dictate what we like.Like I stated earlier,I have had my bowstring get caught to the point I thought I was going to have to climb back down the tree to free it.I ended up bouncing the bow with a dead limb getting flipped over on my bow in the process and I asked myself then,what would happen if that were a limb driver cable it was caught on and I was having to do this.Would I have the confidence to continue my hunt. To tell you the truth,I don't know.


I will continue to recommend the Limb driver because I do like it so much from a technical standpoint but for me,I find the whammy a little better option(especially for hunting).IMO,they are both light years ahead of any other fallaway on the market,except for MAYBE the new Mathews rest and maybe the new one from BT or Octane or whatever it is[&:] but I have not seen either one of these in person yet.

Wouldn't you be able to shoot it in the up position with vanes too?Wouldn't it act as a spring steel rest at that point.

Just thought about it,no you wouldn't,the arms stick up too far for that.

The whammy would probably be my second choice in Dropaways. The New BowTech rest I believe is called the Tripwire.

The target launcher is almost right for using as a spring steel type launcher. Im going to shave mine down a little more so just incase the cord ever does mess up, i have confidence that the fletchings will clear easily. Right now with the maximas (small diameter shaft) and duravanes the slightly touch when even, but... i shot it adn they still shoot well even slightly contacting the rest. That was with 2.3" duravanes btw. Id say if a fellow were to cut the tips of off the new containment launcher, they would have the optimal hunting or target rest either way. I think i might try it. I really dont like cutting on those 6$ blades though[&:]

YES,yes it is,but I get good deals on both.But I have not had to replace my ACC's in years.My strings get replaced every 2 years as well.
