I'm thinking about it too, but then I loose a lot of speed.

i had to turn my peep on ocasion at first but i dont anymore. tbh, my general's string seemed to be really good about not twisting. it stayed in pretty good condition as far as stretching but i shot the crap out of it and it started getting worn.

Why would you loose speed with new string? I have heard that new string often add a little speed?

It can go either way. It's a weight issue.
