Does anyone know anything about these arrows?

I stumbled across their wedsite when someone mentioned their bows. Appears that they are made from Kevlon, whatever that is. They advertise a straightness of .00145 and a weight variance between 12 packages shafts of +/- one grain. But the way they word it, it sounds like that could mean a difference of 12 grains from the lightest to the heaviest.

I just opened a shop last year and am a Forge dealer. They talked me into buying the arrrows to try them out and I have been very impressed with them. I am not capable of making straightness measurements but the arrows are listed as having a straightness from .000 to .0029. The Kevlon strenghtens the arrow and is added within the carbon wrap. I have had a hard time selling the arrows due to Forge' s lack of a national advertising campaign. It is hard to convince some people that just because a product is not on the inside of every bowhunting magazine does not mean it isn' t a quality product.

Are the weights pretty consistant, what type of variance from the lightest to the heaviest. I am always open to something new, provided the price is right. Speaking of price what do they go for a dozen shafts?

I shot them at the beginning of 2002 for 3d season.

Several guys around here shoot them & several of those LOVE them. I think they are fine in weight & straightness but I, PERSONALLY, was not impressed with their strength.

By June of 2002 I was down to 6 of the 12 - the others were broken - due to *natural* causes. I then decided to fork out the big bucks for a dozen gold tip 3d pros. The gold tips lasted the *rest* of the year - and I shot them 1000' s of times more than the forge' s. When I ended the season I had 11 of 12 that were still good - the 1 I broke was my own fault - I slipped & pulled crooked trying to remove it from a target & snapped the shaft.

I think they are probably a decent hunting shaft but I' m not convinced they are strong.

Their finish is similar to the GT' s - pretty rough - pretty tough to pull out of McKenzies...

I then decided to fork out the big bucks for a dozen GoldTip 3D pros - which lasted ALL season & by the end of the year I still had 11/12 good - the 1 broken was my own fault - I slipped pulling it out & pulled it @ 90degrees snapping the shaft...

Anyway - there' s several guys around here that shoot the forge' s and several of them like them.

My opinion - good priced hunting shaft - don' t expect them to be as strong as others & your mileage may vary...
