Carbon Express arrow question
Ordered some Carbon express maxima (the camo ones) 250's, will have them fletched with blazer's vanes.
Looking at the spec page on their website
http://www.carbonexpressarrows.com/prodmaximaseries.html#
I see the nocks/inserts/collars listed but I do not see any weights, on the spreadsheet looking at the 250's with blazer vanes I see they are listed at 7.3Grs/in, does this include the nock/insert/collar weights? If not does anyone know what this add to the overall weight of the arrow after the length is taken into consideration?

RE: Carbon Express arrow question
hmmm, so, by going by what the bow shop recommended with a 26" arrow at 7.3Grn/in gives me 189 grains, with a 100 grain arrow and about 24 grains in accessories, shooting at 70 lbs, this is a bit underweight?
313.8 grains, this is not a good thing, if I have been reading things correctly, I need a minimum of 350gr?
gonna be a bit upset if they recommended the wrong arrows at $70/ half dozen......

RE: Carbon Express arrow question
The maxima hunter 250 is 8 gpi...NOT 7.3 The regular ole, non camo maxima is 7.3....
26" arrow at 8 is 208
100 grain tip
308 + 11 grain insert = 319 = 4 grain collar = 323 + 9 grain nock = 331 + (depending on what fletching you will be using) 20 grains = 351.....
Yes, you are going to be very close. You have a few options though. You can turn the bow down to 68 or 9 pounds, you can add a wrap, U can go w/ a 125 grain tip.....
I'm not sure how close you're wanting this to be...But I think, if it were me.......I would cut them 27" long and go w/ the 350....You'll be around 365 grains @ 27".....just off the top of my head, rough estimate...

RE: Carbon Express arrow question
Once again, thanks for the input Mobow, I will try and get ahold of him first thing in the morning and see what he can do, kinda stuck with the broadheads, got 5, 3 blade rages from last year that I want to use up before looking for anything else.
I really surprised me that my DL is as short as it is, 26" but even a 27 to 27 1/2 won't be adding that much more weight to the arrow.

RE: Carbon Express arrow question
Wiaxle, I have the same draw length as you and shoot the maxima 250's with a 100gn slick trick B/H.
As was already suggested I backed my poundage down to 68Lbs from 70 and cannot tell a difference.
The setup works well for me.

RE: Carbon Express arrow question
Just for a reference, I have Maxima Hunter 350's, cut @ 28.5 inches with a 100 grain tip they weigh out at exactly 400 grains. I know Maxima's come with the bulldog collars, Im not sure if that adds a whole lot or not.
