Default Was my Bowtech switched at birth?

Or am I missing something here. I have never noticed this until the other day. Ihad justmade my drawboard and was testing it out.Looking at the 2006 module chart for my tribute I was a little confused. For a 28" draw (module 3) it showed setting4.3 for the draw stop. Well, how come my cam has "EFA 2" inscribed on it? The bow's birth certificate shows it has a 28" draw. Looking at the chart for the "2" module, it shows my bow to be a 29" draw.

Kinda funny that for almost two years I thought I had a 28" draw length.[&:]Whats up with that???

That happens sometimes, in the rush of putting bows together. I've ordered 60 # limbs two times, and two times I got 70's, they are human.

Are you sure it was tested at 28"? The reason I ask is that all bows are usually tested at 29"... then the dealer changes it out to a 28 for you at his shop if that's the way it was ordered. In this case, it doesn't sound like he installed the proper mods for you after it arrived. The one exception to this is the Equalizer in the adult bow lineup.

Yep, the birth cerificate has 28". I'm assuming thats what you mean. Just kinda funny because all this time I've been thinking that I'm about an inch too long.[:-] Guess I'll switch out the mods soon. I'm hoping the shop will just let me trade.

Is your Tribute an 06? 07? I noticed you said 06 mod chart, and mods you are talking about are for the 06's.I believe in 06 bows were shipped as ordered. I know that changed in 07 & 08 everything ships at 29" with exceptions noted above. The shopwill more than likely swap mods with you. That should make a Good bow even better for youonce youget the draw length in the right spot. Good Luck!!

Yep, its an 06 model.

So the 07 and 08's all ship as 29"? So will the "birth certificate" have 29" or just be blank for those?

They'll all have "29" written on their birth certificate as well as the weight they were shot at, Donnie.

And didn't the cams change from 06 to 07 to address the cam lean issue? Better make sure you get the right modules.

The mods are the same... ESM and EFA. The only difference was less of a "cutout" area to give the cam more mass weight.
