Default refinishing a bow

is there a way to do this, or does the bow usually have to be sent off to do this?

I want mine to be color now, instead of camo, had it for awhile, and just tired of looking at the old scratched up camo.

I'd like the camo's to be re done too.

Can I strip the old off myself and refinish with some sort of automobile paint or something?

I really have no clue.

Thanks.

Nick,
I hear you can get a "cut-off" wheel and put it in a Dremmel and sand it down that way, then prepare the surface for coating.

J/K'ing, but I think if you're wanting to re-finish a bow the best bet is too break it down and send it to one of the companies that does "dipping."

Yeah, I believe I'll elect not to go the dremel route

10,000 starving comedians and you want to be one... [8D]

I figured I'd have to break it down and send it off to get dipped. Just thought I'd make sure. =\

I figured this wasn't a DIY task... although I'm always up for a challenge

Want??? [8D] I am one. 3-4 nights a week, I keep 'em laughing and get paid well. Granted when you have a captive audience as I do, especially the ones with Alzheimer's, you can tell the same joke all night long and still get laughs.

No, I'm a NURSE, but nearly every patient I've cared for in over 12 years has laughed at my silly jokes and often times "fun" way of helping them stay motivated to get better, and trust me, I have a TOUGH audience a lot of the time. Catch me with a few beers after a bad night's work, and I can be "entertaining" though. My dramatization of a fellow staff member gagging after a patient let his bowels loose on him has been asked to be repeated probably 100x over the past 5-6yrs. And if you ever really want to be funny, wait until someone riding in your vehicle falls asleep, and swerve over onto the "rumble strips" while nodding your head like you're sleeping, that gets some great results.

But, NO, I'm not a comedian!!!

But here's a site that does custom dipping.....
