I was wondering what guys feel is better for glueing aluminum inserts in carbon arrows crazy glues or better know as ca glue or 24 hour epoxy.I was wanting to know what holds better and will not let the insert get pulled out when pulling an arrow with a field point from a target.

I've always used goat tuff and had great results with it.

Yes, the goat tuff is a cyanoacrylate glue.

Whitetail all your instant glues more commonly called crazy glue are cyanoacrylate adhesive.Alot of people in the radio controlled planes and the makers of cyanoacrylate adhesive's for the RC plane guy's call it CA glue so it's not such a mouth full as saying cyanoacrylte adhesive.

I've had better luck with hot glue than with commercial products.

One of the best ways to ensure that inserts don't pull out is to clean the inside of the shaft properly. That mens denatured alcohol and QTips.

That being said, the best glue I've found is 2 Part 24 hr epoxy and here's why. If hunting arrows I install the inserts with broadheads attached. After installing I like to spin my arows to make sure the broadheads are aligned with the shaft. If they are not I can turn the insert within the shaft to get a better alignment. Then let them sit for the glue to do it's job.

You can't do this very well with CA glues. True, the epoxy is not as quick setting, but if we're talking about paying attention to details then putting arrows together doesn't have to be a matter of "how fast can we get it done". Same goes for fletching, tuning and many other things in archery.
