07 Allegiance Problem

ORIGINAL: walks with a gimp
I'm not sure where "air gap" came from but my Tribute looks to have about .025" to .030" of space between the inside surface of the limb and the cam at the outer circumfrence of the bow string track. I tried to push the cam over to make contact with the limb and it won't go,, mine's still good to go

Why would any company want an "air" gap?

. I've got a "space" on one side and none on the other.Won't stop me from pig hunting with it next week though
. " Here piggy piggy, I gotsa a sharp stick for ya!"
Funny, during deer season I would rather not see any pigs. But now thatdeer season is over I can't wait to stick another porker with a slicktrick or phantom. I killed 6in 2006 with my Tribute, may the tally continue to rise!
Just for fun, check out these cutters-
And this sow-
As you can see I am more than happy with my Tribute, just looking for some space between my limb cap & cam.
We'll be on stand 5 days from now, just a little giddy on getting to go again.
Back to the thread- Muzzyman 88 is getting some new limbs

Just a bit of grapevine news. A friend of mine just purchased an 07 Allegiance. He spoke w/his proshop owner, & they were discussing the waiting period for the Allegiances & how long they have been taking. The shop owner stated that BT had rejected a largebatch of limbs, & hence the reason for the waiting period. Maybe, some of these limbs got out before quality control got a hold of it. Just what I was told.

in da woods,
That doesn't really surprise me. That might be why mine was messed up. I bought the bow right after Christmas and might have been in that batch. Purely speculation though.
I just can't wait to get it back and start shooting again. I'm starting to twitch.
In any event, my wait might be extended with this big snowstorm looming this week and the probability of shipping delays. So in the meantime, I'll watch the snow fall and drink beer.

its hard for me to remember that these big bow companies are subject to the materials they are delivered, but its true. i run into the same thing w/ my little company w/ bcy and brownell. sometimes they get better stuff than others - and that trickles down.

So far, almost everyone that I know has had this problem with their 2007 Allegiance. Even for those that do not have the rubbing yet, they are dangerously close. So far, I would say mine is very close, but I have honestly not shot it as much as I would have liked. Maybe it will develop over time.

So would anyone of you still recommend buying a 07 tribute or Ally?? THis will be my 1st top of the line bow and I want to make the right decision. Like I said I have the guardian on order but that thing scares me to with the new design, its heavy and the hard draw everyone talks about. I hear Hoyts are a great bow and I need to shoot one but just fromlooking at them they dont seem as nice as the bowtechs. Help!

I have an 07 Guardian and Allegiance purchased three weeks ago. I love them, and would definitely recommend the Allegiance. I have owned Mathews before and had issues like mentioned in this post. Nothing is prefect, but these bows are pretty dam good.
