Seeing that you are NOW shooting a 07 Allegiance, what bow was the one pictured with the limb flaking?

05 Allegiance- estimated 5000 shots through it. The dealer said the lifetime is only 3000.

The dealer told you your limbs were only good for 3000 shots?!?!?!?!
Now, I am no expert, but this sounds like a load of BS to me, and I am sure others will chime in with that emotion too. If you dealer is telling you this, you need to find a new dealer, cause that is one long line he is trying to get you to take.
You also need to tell him he is an idiot!

I agree with you Campo, I just can't pass on their prices for upgrades on Bows. That's all I buy from them is just bare Bows. I do everything myself that I am able to.

I don't know 'bout the rest of you guys, but I can't afforda bow that only has a lifetime of 3000 shots, or even 5000 shots. At a 3000 shot lifetime I'd be replacing my limbs and/or bow everycouple ofmonths (cha-ching). 3000 shots is just over 8 shots a day, every day for 1 year. I'm sure most of us on averageshoot more than 8 shots per day. If a pro-shop told me this I'd find a new pro-shop.

Exactly what I am thinking. Maybe the dealer knew something was up with the bow when he sold it to you and now is trying to save face? Maybe someone dry fired it before you bought it? Who know, the possibilites are endless.
I might even call Bowtech, and tell them what your shop owner is telling you. I am sure he might get an earful from them for telling you the limbs are only good for 3000 shots.
Either way, time for a new shop my friend

i'm not affiliated w/ bowtech, but i'd say they would like to know who this individual is who is telling you that. while many of their limbs haven't made it to 3000 shots - that's not how it was intended and they have good customer service.

Yes you are correct Gibblet, Bowtech has excellent customer Service. When we called Bowtech they replaced the limbs in about a week. As for the Dealer he offered to swap the bow for a new one right on the spot. You can't beat that from a man trying to make a honest living. I respect you Campo for your Freedom of speech.
