Can someone please describe how I can tell the difference between a crack and a scratch? What I have is a pse nova with a coulple 1/4-1/2 inch splits/scratches you can barely feel them when you run your finger nail across them and there is not any splinters or sharp edges on them. Also these are on the flat part of the limbs and not even close to the sides or the cam. one limb has one on front and it goes horizontal, the other limb is on the back and it goes vertical. Any help would be great.

Without physically having the bow in my hands to examine it is difficult for me to tell one from the other. Many times folks bring bows in with "cracks" that they see and are concerned about. More often than not they are just cracks in the film dip and not cracks in the limbs themselves.
I would take it to a reputable local shop and ask them their opinion.

What do you mean by cracks in the film dip and what doess it look like? Also they are several places on this bow with what apears to be small line like pores and they have been there since it was new, is this what you mean by cracks in the film dip. Also if I have to get new limbs around what would they cost, its a pse nova single cam if that helps. Also thanks for the reply and help.

I have been running my finger nail in the scratch and it is turning red really weird huh, could this be the primer under the paint which would mean it just a scratch? Also does any one know if pse will sell me new limbs and the price for them?

Most of the cracks seem to come near where the cams/wheels mount, not in the middle of the limb. It's probably just a crack in the film dip. To regain you confidence, have it looked at. If if is a cracked limb, PSE will stand behind it.
