Default 07 Binary Cam Questions

Ok, I finally bit the bullet and bought myself a Christmas present. I went to the shop this morning and came home with the 07 Allegiance.

I have a few questions regarding the cam setup. I am a little confused about the modules and draw stop adjustment. After picking up some info over on that "other" forum, I discovered that the module numbers have changed slightly due to the grip change. So, I instructed the shop to put 3.5 smooth mods in it to get me to 28". However, the chart says to move the peg to 5.8 based off of a revised chart I found. They didn't adjust the peg at the shop. I really like the people at this shop and they gave me a real deal on this bow, but I sometimes wonder about their knowledge and prefer to do it all myself.

Basically, what I am wondering, is what all the marks on the cam mean. This is definitely not my dad's bow. I'm behind the times switching from an 05 to an 07. Sorry for all the dumb questions.

I can't see well enough to read the lines anyway so I just set them by feel. I like a higher let off so I watch and make sure that the cables are not hitting on the stops when the draw stop post contacts the limb. If the cables touch the module stops, you've gone too far IMO.

Gimp, you're no help! I just want to get it to factory specs before I start fiddling with it.

With the #3.5 mods the stop should be set at approx. the 5.8 mark. The 2007 cams have a #1 marked on one end and the #10 marked on the other. To set yours at the 5.8 setting you'll move thestop until the middle of it is setjust short of the 6th line.

Hope this helps answer your question.

It wasn't when you took it out of the box?

Leave it alone and shoot it

It was a 29" when it was taken from the box and we changed the mods so of course the settings changed.

Bowtech_Shooter, thanks, I thought thats what I was supposed to do, but wasn't sure. Its all coming together now.

Outlaw, the more I play around while setting this thing up, the more I like it. Can't wait to start tuning it.
