Default Binary Cam System

I came across some interesting information on the origin of this cam system.

The guy who invented this system was a former co-worker of mine at a metal graphics company in LaCrosse, WI.

He was laying in bed one night thinking about a solution to prevent bows from coming out of tune, when the idea for the binary cam kind of popped in his head. He immediately jumped out of bed and began designing it on his computer. He then took the idea and paid somewhere in the area of $2000 to $3000 to have a prototype made. He called bowtech and told them he was coming to show them this cam. He bought a plane ticket, flew there and when the Techs at bowtech tried the cam out they could not believe it. They told him to take any bow he wants and is getting royalties from sales of this cam.

He has since been hired by Bowtech and is moving out to Oregon to take up a permanent position!

Moral of the story . . . better start brainstorming.

It sounds like an engineering degree and some good CAD software wouldn't hurt either.

Are there any high paying jobs for a guy that just likes to hunt?

Great story...and it just goes to show that getting what you want in life can only be an idea or two away.

Hmm, now lets see....how can I redesign the single cam in a way that will eliminate all of its disadvantages........

What do mean, the advertising doesn't say anything about disadvantages, just wins...
