I just got a new bow and the Pro Shop guy recomended putting the TT Shakey on it (I used a WB on my old bow) so I did. He put the felt on the riser and the rest I shot it several times in the loud Pro Shop did not notice how loud it was. When I got home and shot it outside I noticed it right away. It is very loud when the Rest falls and hits the riser even with the felt on them. I really like the rest except how loud it is. Any suggestions?

Arm the arms close enough to the riser to slap the shelf?
If so, get some foam weather stripping (sticky on one side) and place it on the shelf where the arms hit. Trim it down to where the arms don't interfere with the arrow flight (start with 1/2" foam) then cover the entire shelf with camo tape or moleskin with the foam underneath.
I cut aU groove in the foam so the arms hit either edge of the U, but the bottom of the U still allows the arrow to sit in your arrow holder.
Arrow holder? More customized foam covered in camo mole skin.
It all works.

I used mole skin, then a piece of foam- which was too thick, didnt go down far enough, tried trimming but just looked/functioned like hell.
I cleaned the riser with alchohol, put a dab of clear silicone on it where the arm falls.
After half an hour- more or less I slowly let the arm down (thin vaseline on it) and let it sink a tad into the silone. Let dry overnight, pop arm up, clean it off-

These guys swear by their weather stripping...
I couldn't get past the noise when I tried one on my bow at the shop... Took it off, put it back in the package and walked out with a Muzzy Zero Effect.

Hey guys thanks for the tips. I put two small pieces of foam from a mouse pad on each side of the fork and that fixed it. It took about 5 min and now it is dead nuts quiet. (How loud are live nuts?)

I use a strip of the limbsaver rubber tape under the forks which I have set to slightly overlap the riser. It keeps the contact point quiet, and also keeps the bottom out spot off the rest( point where the flat spot at the back of the launcher armstops the downward motion of the rest) never had a problem setting it up this way.
