Default ? on bitzenburger dial-o-fletch

has any one every had to take some metal off the clamp to get it straight? and lay flush on the shaft?

Nope, you're not doing something right. Make sure that you've got the two contact points (magnets) in line with each other before attaching the clamp.

Greg's right. The only thing I have to do is scrape the clamp free of hardened glue but never removed any metal.

my clamp was way off being square so i had to sand it down a little bit to get it to go flush i dont know what the heck thats all about but it looks better now

Rob and Greg are right ,I've never had to sand down or remove metal, a simple little adjustment on thedial of either the top or bottom should get you right where you want to be .I had a bit of a problem getting my vane's in correct alignment on my Axis shaft's ,but making a small adjustment on the bottom dial corrected the problem.

Make sure you're adjusting the dials on both the top and bottom to get the magnetic holders to come into alignment; there's simply no way you shouldn't be able to get your clamp to lay perfectly straight on your shaft. That's the beauty of having the two seperate dials; together, they offer almost infinite adjustability.
