In pefect hits, absolutely but when the not so pefect hits happen, that seems small. Are you refering to the new Sonics?

I think they are fine. If you think about it, how much would1/2 inch more or3/4of an inch make when going through lung tissue.

Heck yes. I use 1" and have never, ever had any problems killing anything. Except that oak tree I hit last year......now that I think about it........I believe that still lives. We'll see who gets the last laugh.

In the vitals, no problem. Even on questionable hits like a shoulder, I would prefer a smaller diameter head that can penetratebetter than one with the same # of blades but a wider diameter. The only drawback would be on a paunch hit where a wider cut would probably cause quicker death by a more rapid onset of peritonitis.

I used a 7/8" head and killed two bucks last year but there was almost no bloodtrail.
