This is to save someone else my pain. Just received new Vapor Trail strings and they were delivered as promised. I however gave them the wrong string/cable lengths because my 800.00 bow was not marked correctly on the sticker. I just found out about the tune charts on the Hoyt page. So do yourself a favor and if you have a Trykon XL go to the Hoyt page because they mismark their bows. I will now miss opening day here waiting on new strings.

I understand your sarcasm, however, I just got back from being overseas and thinking about bowhunting the entire time....now, I will have to wait....so if you think that I am just making this up you are way off base. I am just giving my experience.

I doubt it came mis-marked from the factory. If you bought it new were the cams changed in the shop to accomadate your draw or were they twisted (not recommended by Hoyt) to fit you?
I had to have mine remarked after a cam change because of a 1/2" change. Always, repeat always, measure the existing strings and cable before you order them. Yes, that means stripping the bow but it saves heart ache later.
Good luck...and try calling the string maker, I'll bet they will swap them for you.

it did indeed come from the factory mis-marked...I called them today and told them what the sticker said and they admitted that it was from a different bow. I was happy that they did that. Still doesnt help with the frustration that I feel. I am sure Vapor Trail will take care of me based on their reputation, but again, I wouldnt think that this would happen with this expensive of a product.

Are you saying that Hoyt admitted the bow was marked wrong and didn't offer you anything to correct your problem? They didn't try to make it right with you? How did you wear out your factory string so quick?
