Do you fear punching yourself using back tension?

usually you punch yourself in the face on the way back. once your at full draw if it goes off accidently you won't hit yourself. the worst have been when i was concentrating on the next part of my sequence and the release let go after pulling back about 3 inches. my release is set much 'heavier' now and i draw a bit away from my face.

Rick, I've dowloaded the appropriate plugin, but I can't view your files. I'd like to, I've never seen a properly executed shot w/ BT.

OK, I got the first 2 to work. Problem on my end, sorry. Thanks for posting.
Now, I saw follow through for sure, but I just can't see the elbow movement. Looks like you're anchored and smack....the release...When I am practicing w/ my loop, my follow through looks like your so I suppose I'm doing at least part of it correctly. W/ my caliper, I just can't seem to get a surprise release though.

Depending on the caliper release it can be very difficult to shoot with back tension. Releases with long travel triggers are notoriously bad for this. With back tension there is normally very little movement (as you saw in the video) from anchor to release. If your trigger travel is too long then you are all out of movement before the release fires, leading to punching the trigger. TruFire releases tend to be some of the worst offenders.
What you want is a release that breaks with little or no trigger travel (TruBall Short-N-Sweet, Carter 2 shot, etc...). As you apply BT you load up on the trigger until it releases.
