Default String Wax

Any suggestions for a clean quality string wax that does not bunch up?

I have not used it yet ( I will order some soon though), but BCY ML-6 seems to be the wax of choice around here. ML-6 has silicone in the wax and I have been told it really soaks into the string. As far as it bunching up, I couldn't tell you, sounds like a little too much wax to me. I think lancaster archery sells ML-6 online but I am trying to wait until I need a few things to order, S&H is a bear.

ml-6 is good but I have found the Dalton Archery wax is awesome.

I use like the bohning tube bow string wax. Never knew there was a super quality. Never had any trouble, about every third time I shoot I wax the string and in the warmer weather the wax seems to soak into the string and I make sure I get the cables too. Never had any problem.

I've always used Bohning tex-tite. It's always done what it is supposed to do for me . . . and it's fairly inexpensive. What makes it any less effective than the others?

Same thing I was asking. I am sure there are some good things in others, but been using the Bohning for long time and never had one snap or break. And I have to wonder if it is all about marketing and dollars or really that much better?

i dont' think the silicon is just marketing. they are some darn incredible fibers used in making string and the silicon helps 'condition' them and keep the friction and thus the fuzzing down.

Been using ML-6.

Here is a little tip that was shared with me by Mathews shooter Chris Fletcher. Take wax and press it into and fill the bottom hole in the riser cutouts on your bow. When I am standing around at shoots, I often rub a bit onto my fingers and stand around waxing my string/cables. Keeps them always looking nice.........before I started doing this I would never remember to wax them enough. So if you guys ever see one of my rigs in person or in a picture and wonder what that is in the bottom riser hole, it is not ear wax. [8D]

Yes their is a difference in some of the waxes. I personally can't prove it with scientific evidence but after using the ML-6 it convinced me. It doesn't flake off so easily and seems to adhere better to the string fibers than the old Tex-Tite I too was using.

I bought some thanks mainly to gibblet and tried it. Glad I did.
