back tension vs trigger style
I have shot a trigger style release for years ( Scott little goose ) but have switched to a pure back tension this year for the first time ( carter big horn )
I shoot the carter properly and average around a 300 with 50-52 x's.... not too bad considering im shooting fixed pins. ( spott hogg hogg it)
Now tonight, just for the hell of it, I set the bow ( conquest 2 ) up for the scott little goose. After getting it where it needed to be, i shoot a 300 round and scored a 300 with 54 x's. One of my best shoots. 8 of the 12 rounds i shot perfect. two of the rounds I had a double 5s....... oops.
At what point does one decide which release to go with?
What do you think is better?

RE: back tension vs trigger style
imho, if you're shooting the bt release properly, without cheating, its better for what you're doing. it is very, very difficult to not get into bad habits with an index trigger. when your scores with the bt pass your trigger scores they will be more easily repeatable. that's just my opinion and i have no idea how you're shooting the bt release.
