Buddy of mine just got himself the New 06 Allegiance--70#--this bow maxed out @ 66 pounds, honestly.
I'll certainly agree that if his bow won't max out at 70 lbs. he should be disappointed and it should be taken back. When I'm looking at bows, if the maximum weight is not at least meeting specs, I won't buy it. Most go over a few pounds, not under.

btw, i really like all 3 of my bowtechs. i'm not on staff, so i can say how i feel. and just because it's what i shoot doesn't mean i don't have little gripes with them.

idon't think my consticould ever acheive 80% at 29". it doesn't bother me because i don't want it, but if i did it would make me furious.

Not reaching peak weight was the main reason I didn't go home with a Tribute last week (that and the fact we couldn't figure out how to get it above 71% let-off). The most we ever got out of it was low 59's on his digital scale (it was usually in the 58 range). I know his scale could be off, but the bow had a BC weight of 61 and dealer said his scale is usually right there with advertised specs.

I love the Bowtech Bows and recommend them to all my friends but I am seeing alot of the same inconsistantcies some of the rest of you are....My brother,brother-n-law,friend, and myself all own bowtechs that fall anywhere from 1-3 pounds short of the Max. weight advertised....I have no real complaints with my bow and love it and will continue to shoot Bowtechs but I wish that they would tighten the reigns a little on their quaility control as well as dealer relations....

My local dealer is very frustrated w/ them in the fact that they have got dealers spread out everywhere and some are just within 10-15 minutes of each other. I believe having so many dealers in such a small area is not taking care of your dealer and is spreading yourself and customer service to each a little thin....Get back to basics please....JMO....
