I am cheap and just use Ivory Soap. To keep it from getting on my hands I simply wrap a piece of tape around the lower half/two thirds of the bar itself. I don't have any problems pulling my carbons out of the targets even at 284 fps.

ORIGINAL: hoyt3

my bud and I actually put a bit of string wax on say the last 8" of the arrow and just rub it in. it makes pulling an arrow considerably less of a chore
Ditto, if needed. At some competitions, the newer 3D targets are a chore, but a arrow puller, anchorage, and BW does help. I also use silk tips when I am 3D shooting, which helps the ease of arrow pulling.
