Do I need to remind you which bow wins most of the 3D tournaments? I did not think so. However, I could care less about 3D shooting. I am talking about getting out in the woods under real life conditions where the animals really move. I have seen many want-a-be hunters who can smoke a 3D target, but when confronted with Mr. Mossy Oak, could not hit the broad side of a barn.
By the ways guys, I just wanted to stir the pot a little and get some trash talking back and forth. Looks like it worked. I am a Mathews’ shooter and will defend them with as much conviction as you will defend Bowtech. Now where are all the Mathews guys out there? Jump in here and stand up for your weapon of choice!

The congratulations on the new blue Bowtech goes to a lady, not a he. Maybe if you start your own thread showing your new XT somebody will congratulate you.

All the top manufacturers make bows that are better than we mortals can ever coax out of them; it just comes down to personal preference and what you like in a bow.
I realize you're new to the site, and may have indeed just wanted to "stir the pot" so to speak; most of us old-timers quit playing those games long ago. Stick around, and welcome to our little corner of the universe!

I'm not bashing Mathews, I almost bought one myself but when it came down to my final choice after shooting Hoyt for 10 years and comparing the Switchback, Allegiance and Trykon, I picked the Allegiance in a heads up comparison, the Switchback fallen 3rd in the list, FOR ME. There are tons of members here where the Switchback was their pick although most never shot the other 2, not all, but most. If you speficially go into a Mathews dealer and shoot the Switchback, buy the Switchback and take the Switchback home, you'll love it but you'll never know if it was the right choice until you shot the others heads up.
Like I said many times, Mathews makes a great bow, the only problem they have is the arrogance of some of their shooters.
Since your a newbie I won't jump on you but simply let you know, On this forum, we don't have the I SHOOT THE BEST BOW peope...because everyone here knows it doesn't exist.......we all shoot a fantastic bow regardless of choice and stirring the pot will only make your stay here a short one.

The bow is pretty, but I don't think I want someone saying my bow is pretty unless I'm a girl. I say it's time to get a manly bow! Mathews XT is the bow to get if you want to kill something. Let the pretty bows for the ladies, and the real bow (Mathew XT) for the men.

Thanks for the welcome Greg. Hopes there is no hard feeling about the Bowtech bashing. Truth be told, I firmly believe any bow can be a great bow in the hands of a good shooter. I also agree that the top 3D shooters go where the money is.I myself am not so much into 3D shooting as I am intobeing in the woods hunting. My first bow was a Browning Ambush 80 and I harvested six deer with it my first year. The next year I bought a Buck Master G2 and harvested 15 deer with it over the past two years. This year I decided to buy one last bow (I hope). I shot many of the new bows on the market and I personally like the Mathews XT the best. When presented with the opportunity to harvest a wild animal, I want a bow that I am comfortable shooting and confident in its ability to hit where I am aiming. For me, that choice is the XT.
Lady Forge, that is a very nice bow. Hope you are enjoying it.
BTW, this doesn’t mean I’m kissing and making up with the Bowtech shooters…lol
