What is the advantage of using a drop away rest over any other style rest?

Less drag on the arrow, no fletching contact with the rest.

i saw a pretty significant increase in accuracy and consisitency when i moved to my nap drop away rest

fletching clearance is the advantage. Accuracy increase may or may not happen. If your inaccuracy was because of fletch contac then it will help, if your inaccuracy is for other reasons then it may or may not help. more than likely not though.

Yes, its pretty much takin the change away from your fleach hittin sumthin. It improved my accuracy a ton.
